LUXFILMLAB

Every first Wednesday of the month, the LuxFilmLab - a joint initiative of the Luxembourg City Film Festival and Kinepolis - spotlights a work chosen in consultation with the LuxFilmFest team and the Kinepolis programming team.
One of the Festival's representatives will introduce this unique session, with the ambition to support and accompany works whose temporality does not allow them to be presented within the strict framework of the Festival, but whose qualities would have made them likely to be selected.

AMILCAR
Wednesday, April 1st - 8.00pm - Ciné Utopia
Synopsis:
Agronomist, poet and utopian thinker, Amílcar Cabral was the leader of the anti-colonialist movement against Portugal in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde until his assassination in 1973. Miguel Eek’s 16mm documentary about him draws on previously unseen archives and an imaginary diary inspired by Cabral’s personal writings.
